You gain strength you didn’t realize you had, which makes you and your company better.
You find out who steps up to help versus who runs off, leaving you holding the bag– are they true team player who cares for their team and customers?
And I’ve found over the years that when you drop the poor performers, the door gets opened to high performers coming in.
I’m not sure why– perhaps high performers notice you’ve been tolerating low performance or the low performers infect your company culture.
Look to challenges not as failures, but as growth opportunities that bring out the best in people.
