DavisCares: How Colby Joseph Davis Gives Back to the Community

When he’s not scaling businesses, Colby Joseph Davis focuses just as much on giving back. Through the Davis Painting #DavisCares program, he and his team sponsor youth sports, donate to local non‑profits and support first responders throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The idea is simple: if you want to build a lasting company, you need to invest in the community that supports you.

Davis started his career working alongside his father, doing plumbing, pool renovation and painting work in his teens. Today he runs Davis Painting and the multi‑brand holding company Indy Capital, but he hasn’t forgotten those roots. That’s why #DavisCares partners with charities like local Boys & Girls Clubs, community sports leagues and neighborhood cleanup initiatives. By investing money, supplies and time, the program helps kids discover the trades, supports families in need and highlights the values of hard work and integrity.

“We’re nothing without our team and our neighbors,” Davis often says. That philosophy shows up in the way he treats his crew and in the way he supports the causes they care about. His people‑first leadership style is described more fully in this post about earning respect, while his business journey is chronicled on Jack Wendt’s site in From Paintbrush to Portfolio. If you’d like to learn more about the launch of Indy Capital and Indy Brands, be sure to read our earlier coverage on High Rise Influence. Together these articles paint a picture of an entrepreneur who believes that doing good and doing well are two sides of the same coin.
