Luke Eggebraaten and I have shared many incredible experiences over the years. We first met at Josh Nelson’s Seven‑Figure Agency Intensive in Miami, where we connected over our shared passion for building agencies that put clients first. We later spent time together at Tommy Mello’s conference in Phoenix, brainstorming ways to grow seven‑figure agencies and support each other’s businesses.
In those conversations and in the videos we’ve made together, Luke consistently emphasises hiring virtual assistants the right way and focusing on systems. We recorded sessions on how to hire VAs and start a seven‑figure agency, and those pieces of content remain some of my favourites.
While many marketers chase quick money, Luke always prioritises doing the right thing for his clients. His company, Phaser Marketing, exclusively serves construction and excavation businesses, offering a full‑service digital marketing team that helps them build an online presence. Phaser’s phased programs are tailored to companies at different revenue levels, and the team acts as a long‑term partner rather than a vendor.
Luke is also a sought‑after keynote speaker. On his speaker bio he explains that he founded Phaser Marketing in 2019 to serve the construction industry, and he now co-hosts the Dirt Bags Podcast and partners with Turf Wars Racing. When he speaks at industry events he brings energy, practical advice and a genuine desire to help businesses grow.
Beyond work, Luke gives back. His company hosts the annual Phaser Fundraiser Black Tie Gala, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Boys and Girls Club of Detroit Lakes. In 2025 the event raised $70,000 — $30,000 more than the prior year. Luke personally led the “Paddles for Purpose” donation drive and has made generosity a core part of his brand.
In the OWNR OPS podcast episode “Scale Your Excavation Company: Market Your Business with Luke Eggebraaten,” Luke explained how he started Phaser Digital Marketing and shared practical marketing tips for excavation and service businesses. He highlighted the importance of systems and processes, building a strong team, delegating tasks, networking and keeping clients happy. Another interview, “Scaling to Success: Luke Eggebraaten’s Journey to a 7‑Figure Agency,” dives into why he chose the excavation niche and his strategies for attracting clients, delivering results and scaling his agency.
I’ve also seen Luke’s generous spirit in small ways. He regularly writes bigger checks to the Boys and Girls Club and treats his team with respect. Recently we had a friendly challenge on LinkedIn where we each honoured the other and tracked the likes and engagement — it was a fun way to celebrate our friendship and encourage each other’s personal brands.
Luke’s ethos aligns with our Content Factory process: put the customer first, build systems and teams, and give back to the community. I’m proud to call him a friend and collaborator.
