I've done this thousands of times.

And I’m still amazed that people click LIKE on articles they have not even read. TEN times as many people will click like or share something they’ve not even reviewed.

Years ago, I thought LIKE was saying you enjoyed something, and that you approved of it. And then I noticed that in some cultures that saying YES was sometimes not approval, but mere acknowledgment.

And sometimes, it’s more alignment with the brand or personality, like a lightweight bumper sticker– identity via blind trust.

Thus, the stronger the brand, the more likely you’ll see behavior like the below– super high engagement, low cost, and low link click rates.

And therefore, having your content on high authority/trust pages is a smart move. You’d do this as a smart networker who values human-to-human interaction, even if you didn’t understand algorithmically why.
