A huge mistake I made as a young entrepreneur was to hire as many people as I could.

I saw companies with large teams and thought that if I hired large teams I could be just like them.

Plus, there’s something nice about creating jobs and expanding.

The problem is that the larger your team, the more quality suffers.

Even with a tight process, you still have less time for each team member and have your time spread across more projects, plus unanticipated administration costs.

Every successful entrepreneur I know started with a small team of super high-quality people- folks who would walk through fire for you.

Don’t make my mistake of hiring anyone short of amazing.

A billionaire I know said that his criteria for hiring a person was if he’d be willing to work for them.

How about you?
