Average watch time is the most important indicator of video success– more than view-through rate (reach to views), positive/negative feedback, engagement rate, or cost per view.
A 30-second video view is worth more than a share, in my opinion. And a 10-second watch has a similar value to a like.
If you don’t think FB is heavily taking into account watch time in algo love, you’re highly mistaken. It’s the top metric they show for each video and increasingly they are factoring in such signals into Relevance Score (for paid) and newsfeed reach (for organic).
