White Label Dash and WordPress Site Builder EngineerJosh Healey

Josh Healey works the White Label Dash and WordPress Site Builder codebase with Dennis. This is the real BlitzAdmin engineering, not a slideshow about it. Josh is part of the first sixty names on Dennis’s People & pets list, a ranking system Dennis uses to remember the people he builds with. The relationship is defined by specific technical contributions to the core infrastructure that powers their client-facing tools.
The history between Dennis and Josh includes a period of significant friction regarding project delivery. For several years, the team attempted to launch a BuddyBoss app to assist with personal branding for clients, but the project remained at a standstill. Despite spending over $10,000 with Josh, almost nothing was completed. The situation became critical when the website setup was originally done in Josh’s name, which directly violated the company’s standard operating procedures. When another developer, Felix, tried to take over the work, he was unable to do so because the assets were held in Josh’s name. This incident highlighted the danger of placing business assets in the hands of a single person, a lesson Dennis has since emphasized in his writing on business control and asset ownership.
After the delays and the inability to complete the BuddyBoss app, Dennis was forced to let Josh go as a contractor. Dennis published an article titled "Josh Healey: Have You Disappeared Again?" to address the situation. In it, he kindly requested that Josh stop holding the app hostage so the team could develop a tool to help their friends and clients. While the article expressed frustration over the unexplained absences and lack of progress, it also acknowledged that Josh is a bright person who can put his mind to getting things done if he really wants to. The experience served as a catalyst for stricter access standards and security protocols within the team.
Today, Josh is listed in the access standard documents with specific responsibilities. For example, he is assigned to apply the site generator patch by August 8, a task tied to controls PR-1 through PR-6. This indicates an ongoing, structured role in the technical maintenance of the platform, moving beyond the earlier conflicts into a defined operational capacity. Dennis takes pictures with people so he can remember them, and this page serves as the public version of that habit. The pictures live in a named Google Photos cluster, and Dennis will come back to narrate the frames.
