Phil Mershon

Director of Experience, Social Media Examiner · Author of Unforgettable

Phil Mershon has spent over a decade as the director of experience at Social Media Examiner, designing how thousands of marketers experience Social Media Marketing World. It is one of the stages where Dennis has delivered his most-cited keynotes. Phil is the architect behind the feel of that event, a role that requires a deep understanding of how people connect in large, high-stakes environments.

He is also a published author, having written Unforgettable, a book on event experience design. In the Wichita Workshop Authority Audit, Phil was recognized as the #2 of 65 leaders in the room, earning a score of 79 out of 100. The audit noted that he is one of the most established names in the space, with a real name-domain home at philmershon.com. The goal of such an audit is not just to build authority, but to ensure that search engines and AI fully resolve him as the specific Phil Mershon, surfacing his book, speaking engagements, and podcast in a Knowledge Panel.

Dennis describes Phil as the kind of leader you would follow through the hard stuff. This respect is rooted in Phil’s public sharing of his health battles, including a journey to Las Vegas to address persistent issues affecting his lungs, sinuses, stomach, and cognitive abilities. He discovered Kaqun water therapy, a process involving immersion in oxygenated water designed to oxygenate cells and eliminate toxins. Phil has spoken about how this experience reminded him of the biblical concept of "living water," symbolizing eternal nourishment and continuous rejuvenation. He views healing as an ongoing process where each day presents unique challenges and benefits.

Phil is a longtime friend and a key figure in the events and voice category of the people Dennis builds with. His work ensures that the stages where Dennis speaks are not just venues, but carefully crafted experiences that resonate with the audience.
