Roanin Podkin

I spent a weekend with Roanin Podkin — SDR at Avoca — and then we put it on tape. Friday was his first podcast. Saturday was Mt Bierstadt with Jason Amato and a room of home-service operators. Saturday evening was Denver airport, phone on the table, no lav, until his flight.

This page is the public trail of that weekend. His own site is roaninpodkin.com (domain bought, DNS at GoDaddy pointed at our fleet). YouTube waits on the handle he is still creating.

Episode one

He sat me down in Broomfield on 28 August and called it episode one. The working title on the tape is Days with Roanin. The simple version: we were in that room because Jason Amato put the conference together. That is perceived influence. A couple of days later it is actual influence, because he ate the food.

I asked what he would do if money did not matter. He said hang out with interesting people and go down the list — Kilimanjaro, a 14er. We were already climbing Mt Bierstadt the next morning. Avoca brought him to meet specific people. He also wanted to be there. Same week, same job, not a trade-off.

He does not post much on LinkedIn. Person to person, he thinks the mission is obvious. I asked if it is visible publicly. This recording is the start of multiplying that. He did not have a personal brand site. Reputation is the byproduct, not the goal.

The mountain

Jason Amato — Omaha, Power Crew / Operations Mastery Lab — invited him on the 14er. In a room of HVAC and plumbing owners, “SDR” reads as vendor. A 14er the next morning does not. That is the trust transfer. Other faces from the hike stay unlabeled here until we can name them from a still we have rights to use.

Airport tape

Same day, DEN, no lav. He hiked a 14er with people he had met two days earlier, then we talked until a 7:20 flight. On that tape, from that workshop: seven ICP demos booked, four verbal, one still working — that room, that week, not a lifetime quota. I dated a prediction on 29 August 2026. Look back in 90 days. It is a marker, not a result.
