Subpage

343 episodes, finally on home ground

Seven years of weekly long-form content currently living on a free hosting tier, with no page on any owned domain. This is the most valuable underused asset in the portfolio.

The opportunity

What happens when these get published properly

Transcribed and published as individual episode pages on an owned domain, 343 episodes become several hundred indexable pages. Each one is a candidate to rank for a long-tail question somebody is actually typing. Each one carries an internal link back to the entity home. Each one gives a guest something to link to.

This is not new work. It is work already done, collected.

Search surface

Several hundred new indexed pages against a site that currently ranks for five keywords total. Long-tail questions are the cheapest ranking there is.

Guest backlinks

343 guests, each with an audience and a website. Right now there is nothing on an owned domain for any of them to point at.

The pillar loop

A content engine needs a pillar source feeding repurposed pieces. The pillar already exists and runs weekly. Only the destination is missing.

The unit

The episode page pattern

Each episode gets its own URL, full transcript, chapter markers, guest bio with an outbound link, PodcastEpisode schema, and a link home. That is the unit. Multiply by 343.

Element Why it is there
Full transcript The only way the conversation becomes searchable text
PodcastEpisode schema Makes the episode a machine-readable object, not a page of prose
Guest name, title, outbound link Gives the guest a reason to link back
Chapter markers with timestamps Wins the featured-snippet slot on specific questions
Canonical link to the entity home Every page reinforces one entity instead of scattering authority

Ownership

One structural note

343 episodes are currently hosted on a free tier of a platform that could change its terms tomorrow.

The RSS feed lives on anchor.fm, not on a domain under Derek’s control. Seven years of work and every subscriber relationship sits behind somebody else’s terms of service. Moving the canonical home to an owned domain does not mean leaving Spotify or Apple — it means no longer being a tenant on the only copy.

This page is yours if you want it.

The full structure moves to derekmoneyberg.com — the domain already
owned, currently pointed at an opt-in form. Same pages, same schema, on ground that belongs to Derek.
