Tanner Laycock

Builder · Content Factory and GolfTanner

In early 2018, Tanner Laycock was a sophomore defensive back at Saint Vincent College. He volunteered to drive a guest speaker from the airport to campus. That speaker was Dennis. Tanner had reached out before the pickup, and during that drive, they talked about everything he wanted to build. Within days, Tanner flew to a workshop. A few days after that, he dropped out of college to join BlitzMetrics. Dennis remembers the abruptness of the decision. Tanner did it for one reason: mentorship, and the chance to skip years of failure by doing the work next to people who had already done it.

Tanner became one of the hardest-working young people Dennis has ever had on a team. He helped shape the Content Factory and the Topic Wheel, applying a specific craft to the work. Later, he put that same energy into GolfTanner, selling premium golf carts. The transition from a college athlete to a builder of digital systems and physical products reflects a consistent drive to execute. Dennis told the full story on the 200th episode of Hustle & Flowchart and in a dedicated honor post, highlighting how a single airport pickup evolved into a long-term professional partnership.

Dennis takes pictures with people so he can remember them. This page is the public version of that habit. The pictures live in a named Google Photos cluster, serving as a visual record of the time they spent together. Tanner is part of the first sixty names on Dennis’s People & pets list, a rank that reflects the depth of their collaboration. The public picture grid at tannerlaycock.com/photos/ offers a glimpse into the moments captured during their work together.
