From a Y Combinator company in 2008 to a physics lab aimed at the Singularity in 2026 — with 40+ startups backed and advised along the way.
“The Singularity needs a physics department.” PSI is his newest and biggest bet: a vertically integrated “factory for physical superintelligence” whose stated product is new physics, at scale. Founded as a public benefit corporation — abundance “for broad public benefit from day one” — with ~20 physicists and AI researchers from Google, OpenAI, Meta, NVIDIA, Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Oxford, and the IAS, offices in Boston and San Francisco, and backing from SV Angel, Valkyrie, Balaji Srinivasan, Solari Capital, and 021T Capital.
Unveiled February 15, 2026 — one day after Solve Everything shipped. In June 2026 PSI open-sourced Get Physics Done (GPD), “the world’s first AI copilot built by physicists, for physicists.” Motto: ignis scientiae, illumina mundum — fire of knowledge, illuminate the world.
Co-authored with Peter Diamandis; released free in February 2026. The blueprint for industrializing problem-solving: the Industrial Intelligence Stack, the L0→L5 field-maturation curve, the Abundance Flywheel, and 15 moonshots from organ abundance to AI tutors for every child.
Through Reified LLC (founded 2019) and Cambridge-based 021T Capital — which “partners with ambitious founders building companies with $1T+ potential, most often writing the first check” — he has backed or advised 40+ companies.
Founder, president, and chief scientist of Gemedy, Inc. — intelligent systems for national defense. In 2019, as part of Team ACET, selected for the DoD’s DTIC IAC multiple-award contract (a $28B-ceiling, 9-year vehicle). Defense Science Board task force observer; Secretary of Defense Challenge Coin recipient.
Founded Enernetics/CO2Stats (Y Combinator 2008) — environmental analytics for websites, acquired by Sustainable Travel International in 2016. When 2009’s “carbon cost of a Google search” media frenzy inflated claims he never made, he publicly corrected the record — against his own hype.
Advisory boards of the Brain Preservation Foundation and Organ Preservation Alliance; Lifeboat Foundation SAB; Hertz Fellowship interviewer; MIT “Expert in Residence”; advisor to brain-emulation startup Eon Systems.
Represented by Chartwell Speakers; recent stages include Davos-week panels, the Abundance Summit, TEDxBoston (“Why the Future of Intelligence Is Already Here”), and 58 episodes of Moonshots.
