From his car to the commencement stage

The talking cow with a
cybersecurity degree.

I’m Moo Muhammad — a kid from West Philly who dropped out three times, lived out of my car, and walked across the stage as my class’s commencement speaker. Now I help people learn, adapt, and protect what matters — online and in life.

Meet Moo

Famous for one idea: you can start over.

Moo Muhammad turns a hard-won comeback into something other people can use. He’s equal parts motivator, cybersecurity professional, and creator — and he’s spent his whole life learning how to learn.

Moo (full name Munir Muhammad) is a cybersecurity professional specializing in application security, incident response, and hands-on technical projects — and the creator behind OMG a Talking Cow, where he shares the mindset that got him off the street and onto the stage.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Cybersecurity from the Community College of Philadelphia, where he was chosen as the Class of 2024 commencement speaker. Today he’s working toward a bachelor’s in Computing & Security Technology at Drexel University — with a Ph.D. as the long-term goal.

Along the way he’s worked as a career-services consultant, personal trainer, and tutor, helping other people navigate the same doors he had to pry open himself. His message is simple and earned: you cannot plan everything, but you can build contingencies — so stay flexible, and keep moving.

“I’m here to protect everyone from the dangers of the internet.”

The Story

An Uber ride changed everything.

The short version of a long climb — the one Moo tells on stages and podcasts, because someone out there needs to hear that the bottom isn’t the end.

A passenger in the backseat — a stranger who became a mentor — told a young Uber driver from West Philly to go back to school and try cybersecurity. He didn’t know what a server was, what the cloud meant, or why Windows mattered. He’d already dropped out of college three times. He couldn’t quite make rent, so he lived out of his car while friends offered a couch when they could. Two years later, he was the one standing at the podium telling thousands of graduates how he did it.

Before

Three false starts

Enrolled at Delaware County Community College and dropped out three times — first immaturity, then time management, then COVID-19.

The turn

The backseat conversation

While driving for Uber, a mentor in the backseat encouraged him to return to school and pursue cybersecurity. He said yes.

Fall 2022

All in — from his car

Arrived at the Community College of Philadelphia. Not wanting to lean on family and short on rent, he lived out of his car and kept showing up.

May 2024

Magna Cum Laude & the mic

Graduated with High Honors in Cybersecurity and was chosen as his class’s commencement speaker — NBCU, Beygood & Drexel Promise scholar.

Now

Drexel, and beyond

Pursuing a bachelor’s in Computing & Security Technology at Drexel, mentoring newcomers in tech, and building OMG a Talking Cow. Next stop: a Ph.D.

“She encouraged me to return to school and suggested a degree in cybersecurity.”

— Moo, on the mentor he met driving Uber

“You cannot create a perfect plan for anything, but you can create contingencies. Be flexible.”

— Moo’s rule, learned the hard way
Down three times. Up for good.

That’s the whole brand. Not “never fall” — get back up smarter. It’s why people who are learning and adapting see themselves in Moo.

The Receipts

Don’t take his word for it.

When a school, a foundation, and a podcast all put your name in print, that’s not hype — that’s a record. Here’s the independent proof behind the story.
