Left a shoe-industry executive job and founded Soles4Souls. Dennis wrote two pieces on him — the nonprofit that has given away millions of pairs of shoes, and Wayne’s book on why “almost” isn’t good enough.
After Katrina he rounded up other shoe executives and gave away a million pairs. Dennis saw the donation boxes at Adidas and Reebok headquarters.
