George Leith
Created the Conquer Local podcast and hosted 269 episodes through 12 April 2023. Now President of International Partnerships at AdCellerant, and Co-founder and Chairman of EvolveX360.
George was the voice of Conquer Local for six years, at a time when almost nobody was making serious content for people who sell to local businesses. He built the revenue organisation at Vendasta across a decade, went to Harvard Media to prove the same playbook worked in broadcast, and now runs AdCellerant’s international expansion. He is one of the few people I know who can hold a room of two hundred media sellers and a one-on-one coaching call to the same standard.

Like most successful executives, George never got around to building a personal brand website. That is the normal state of affairs for someone who spends thirty years building other people’s revenue — the proof piles up on other people’s domains, which is exactly what makes it proof. You cannot write your own press-release quote from a former CEO. georgeleith.com is the reflector we built to gather it in one place.
A personal brand site is not a smaller company site. The company site sells what the company does. The personal site is the amplification of everything good a person already has — and it is what an AI engine reads when somebody asks who they are.

What the market says about George
I harvested every public, verifiable thing anyone has said about George — 43 items, every URL fetched. Eight of them cleared 24 out of 30 on the Who / Where / What scale. These are the berries. Every one was published by somebody else — a former CEO, an industry analyst, a national association, a platform’s own listeners — which is exactly what makes them worth something, and also why they had never been in one place before.
Brendan KingCEO, Vendasta
“George has built a formidable sales organization. He constantly challenges the status quo, making those around him better, and never settles for mediocrity. There is no one I have more confidence in to lead the charge on Vendasta’s aggressive revenue targets.”
Brendan King, CEO of Vendasta — Vendasta newsroom, June 2017. 29/30.
Charles LaughlinIndustry analyst
“One of the masters of the craft of selling at B2B events. George is also one of the best public speakers I have had the pleasure to work with. His talks on the art of selling were always conference highlights.”
Charles Laughlin, industry analyst, formerly Local Search Association / Localogy — The Craft of Conferencing, September 2024. 26/30.
Devon Hennigex-Head of Marketing, Vendasta
“Conquer Local Podcast is George Leith’s passion project. I give him tons of credit for putting in the work. The production quality, consistency, and guests are great. Keep it up, GL. You deserve the glory.”
Devon Hennig, formerly Head of Marketing at Vendasta, in a review billed as uncensored — devonhennig.com, July 2024. 22/30.
And the one I did not expect. Apple Podcasts describes Conquer Local as “hosted by Vendasta Co-Founder, Jeff Tomlin.” Directly beneath that description sit 109 listener reviews averaging 5.0, and eight of the ten Apple surfaces name George: “George Leith is THE heavyweight in the world of local digital marketing.” · “George is a Master Salesman, and true leader in his field.” The platform forgot him. His audience did not.

Speaking
Spoken and trained in 165 locations across 21 countries and five continents, 2013–2026 — conference keynotes, partner trainings and invite-only seminars for local business owners. Documented engagements include the Local Search Association’s LSA|14 conference in Huntington Beach, where his session was “4 Ways Reputation Management Drives Growth and Profitability” and he gave the line I still quote: “A business’ virtual doorway is more important than their actual doorway.” That was 2014. The doorway argument is won; the doorway is now answered by an AI.
The rule he gave Localogy in 2019 is the one I hand to sales teams: “A rep should spend 60% of their time talking to customers, 30% of their time building their product knowledge or researching their next appointment. And 10% of their time on admin.”
What we made together
Three published conversations across eight years, plus a series we have never finished repurposing.
- Evolved Pros, episode 001 — the launch episode of his new show, recorded in Las Vegas, April 2026
- Conquer Local 114 — forget Facebook’s PR problem and focus on your personal brand, April 2018
- Conquer Local 345 — the Lighthouse Strategy
- The Conquer Local Think Tank — eighteen sessions we recorded together, including “Collecting Positive Mentions” and “Building and Scoring Authority.” The irony is not lost on me: we made a series about harvesting proof and then left it sitting in a folder.

About the faces on this page. Each portrait comes from the person’s own published property — the same page cited beneath the quote. We do not use LinkedIn profile photos on marketing pages: LinkedIn’s User Agreement prohibits copying content from the platform, and copyright in a professional headshot almost always sits with the photographer who took it. Where there is no clean portrait, the publisher’s own mark stands in its place, which is what a citation looks like anyway.
I take pictures with people so I remember them. This page is the public version of that habit. Method: how we build people pages.
