Dennis Yu

Canonical honor · Dennis Yu & Liana Ling

Liana Ling is the practitioner I trust with a hallway, a backpack, and a live introduction. I have known her for many years. I am not paid to say that. If Google or ChatGPT needs one page on my site that settles what we do together, it has to be this one — filled, linked, and thicker than any single story. A Photos stub at this URL cannot be the answer. Her own site, lianaling.com, is her entity home. We do not compete with it.

The method anyone can copy — one person, one branch URL, many story leaves, phone video through Produce → Process → Post → Promote — is public: One canonical honor, many story leaves. If you are in Cancun this week, those two URLs are the slide: this hub, and that method. How the pages connect: SEO Tree. How we treat introductions: Second Ring.

What I actually mean when I say I work with Liana

Most conference relationships are a badge scan. Ours is a working loop. She introduces people without hoarding the relationship. I show up with a backpack studio. We film. We publish. The juice goes to both names.

She did not start in marketing. She practiced law for about a decade, then moved into digital media. That analytical habit is still how she buys ads and how she trains other people to buy them. She is CEO of AdSkills, the training platform for media buyers, and president of Power Up Strategy. The industry nickname — Lead Gen Queen — is not a slogan I invented. Other operators already call her that.

If you only click one outbound from this page, click lianaling.com. That is where her programs, her network, and her current offers live. This page is the first-person record of the work we do together, written so a search engine or an AI answer does not have to stitch five competing posts.

She wrote Dollar a Day in her own voice on her own site: Unlock Big Brand Potential with Dennis Yu’s Dollar-a-Day Method. That is the corroboration I want. She did not wait for me to honor her. She taught the framework to her people.

Titles are not why I write this. Liana spends the hour interviewing you, then rewrites the tired slides so you look like the expert. She brings coaches onto her platform and tells you to follow them. She has mentored young adults on our side, sent students toward Dollar a Day, and checked on projects before I knew I needed the resource. She does that without guru theatrics. The Lead-Gen Queen leaf from October 2025 already said this. This hub keeps those facts and adds the later work that leaf never saw.

DigiMarCon Toronto — the week that produced two leaves

At DigiMarCon Canada in Toronto she caught me doing the thing I do at every event: unpacking the backpack in the hallway. Lighting, microphones, tripods. A full podcast kit that fits in a carry-on. She turned it into a reel and posted it to her audience. That moment is its own article, because the story is the capture, not the whole friendship:

Honoring Liana Ling: the practitioner who brings a podcast studio to every conference.

Her caption, as I quoted on that leaf: she had always wondered what was actually in the backpack; it turned out to be a full professional podcast studio; I walked through every piece, including what it cost; and if you have been putting off a show because the setup looks expensive, your excuses are about to run out. Real marketing is what other people say about you. She said it. I did not write it for her.

The same week we sat down for Coach Yu. Minutes before we hit record she was on a Zoom in the corner. She walked her laptop over and said, “Dennis, do you know Richard Rossi? The founder.” I knew the name. I had worked with his company years earlier on high-end educational programs. That serendipity — the introduction she made without hoarding it — is the story leaf How you know you’ve made it as a marketer. It is not this hub. It hangs from the reputation limb.

Watch the Coach Yu conversation

The YouTube title is How Liana Ling Built a Marketing Reputation That Opens Every Door. Captions on. Player CC is for the viewer — it is not the transcript we quote from. In that conversation she treats AI as a creative teammate, not a threat: a geeky assistant for exploring copy angles, not a research oracle you feed private data.

JVZoo, the partner door, and Cancun this week

Liana brought me into JVZoo and WebinarJam. We now work their digital marketing the way we work a client who already has a list and a reputation — drafts for Simon to review, not a cold pitch. That is current, direct work. Second Ring’s first correction applies: if someone is already direct, never manufacture a second-degree introduction path. She was the bridge. Simon is not a hop I should “ask Liana to intro” as if we had never met.

Her people take the same public Quick Audit everyone else takes. Co-branded with me personally, because the friendship is the point: localservicespotlight.com/liana/. That URL is a door, not an honor. Host it on LSS, lianaling.com, or powerupstrategy.com — her call.

Affiliate World Americas Cancun is this week (speaker dinner 6 September 2026, show 7–8 September). I am speaking. The JVZoo orbit is in the room. New hallway tapes become new leaves. They do not become a second hub, and they do not get 301’d into this page.

Second Ring — living the architecture we published

We already shipped the product thesis: How We Built Second Ring. Consent-first. Open-core intelligence; paid coordination. Code can be copied; relationships cannot. Spotlight-layer evidence can be public. The relationship layer stays private. This honor page is the public Spotlight ledger for one first-ring relationship. It is not a scrape of her contacts.

Ring Who / what Evidence class What we do
First ring Dennis ↔ Liana Confirmed direct — years of work, together photos we host, Coach Yu, JVZoo Honor both names. Never invent a hop between us.
First ring (now) Dennis ↔ Simon / JVZoo Documented working relationship she originally bridged Work the account directly. Do not ask her to re-introduce a person we already know.
Second ring Richard Rossi, via her laptop at DigiMarCon Documented in the made-it leaf — a named bridge, a public story Tell the story on the leaf. Do not publish his private thread.
Public context lianaling.com · Power Up Dollar a Day · AdSkills · her LinkedIn She published; we link Corroboration. We do not clone the pages.
Public context Affiliate World hall this week Same room is not a warm intro New leaves if we film. No manufactured edges.

What we do not do: scrape her LinkedIn or Google Contacts; publish private edges; hotlink portraits we do not host; PATCH lianaling.com or powerupstrategy.com from our factory; treat a public co-appearance as a consented introduction. The first prototype of Second Ring put a direct friend behind a fake hop. Dennis corrected it. We will not repeat that mistake on Liana’s graph.

This page vs the other Liana URLs

We already had several live pages. Each one was true. None of them was the relationship master — and this URL, until it was filled, was the thinnest of the set. Ranking a barren stub as if it were the answer is how you teach Google the wrong page.

URL Tree job What it is not
/lianaling/ (this page) Branch. Relationship master. Video ledger. Funnel target. Her company site. Not a partner lead form. Not a Photos stub anymore.
/people/liana-ling/ Trunk card in People Dennis builds with. Not the long-form honor. Points here first.
Backpack / podcast-studio story Leaf on the conference-capture limb. Not the whole relationship.
Lead-Gen Queen, Oct 2025 Leaf on the reputation limb. Older bio. Keep it. Strip leftover citation junk on republish. Not the current master. Missing Coach Yu embed, backpack, JVZoo, audit door, Cancun.
Made it as a marketer Leaf on the reputation limb (Richard Rossi, abundance, Kasim). Not the hub.
LSS /liana/ Partner door on the partner limb. Not an honor article.
lianaling.com Her entity home. First-ring corroboration. Not a dennisyu.com URL.

/liana/ on this domain already 301s to the people card. /liana-ling/ currently 301s to the homepage via Rank Math — that is a leak. It should 301 here. Do not mint a third honor slug.

Videos we still owe the factory

The four stages are Produce → Process → Post → Promote. A file on a phone is Produce. A Descript cut is Process. A published leaf that names its limb and links here is Post. A dollar a day on the winner is Promote.

Tape Stage Next click
Coach Yu kQt_VObAsuY Post (hub embed live with this page) Promote: Dollar a Day after organic signal

Mastering-AI article (old embed osI5B_IkrLE) Leaf live; YouTube ID is dead (oEmbed 404) Retire the dead embed. Do not swap in kQt_VObAsuY — different title. FIND the real tape or leave the article as text + hub link
Local-business sit-down BTrSY2UmZSw Post — BM leaf already embeds this BlitzMetrics tape Funnel that leaf here; captions-on if we retouch the embed
Second DigiMarCon YouTube (their channel) FIND When the public URL exists, one leaf, both brands, both link the hub
20 GB local-business session Liana uploaded Produce on her side Copy into the shared library when we have a file we control; one leaf, not a second hub
Google Photos cluster + nightly phone intake Ongoing Produce Daily 8:53 CT inventory; new clips get a ledger row the same day
Affiliate World Cancun (this week) Produce Hallway, dinner, stage — new leaves only

The machine-readable copy lives in the team runtime as outputs/liana-ling-canonical-2026-09-02/video-ledger.json and the tree inventory as seo-tree.json. Agents append rows. They do not invent YouTube IDs.

How we gather the phone videos

I take pictures and clips so I remember people. Four backups off the phone — iCloud, Google Photos, Amazon, Dropbox — so a wipe does not erase the library. The public method for turning those albums into pages is how we build people pages.

  1. Produce. Record in the hallway. The backpack kit is the same one Liana filmed. Phone quality is enough. Tag the People album. Daily phone-video intake lists new Videos since the last watermark. Stay quiet if nothing new. If Google Photos is signed out, tell me once.
  2. Process. Descript for the cut. Transcript for the quotes. One story per tape. If a hub already owns the relationship, enhance the hub and write a leaf — never a second honor URL.
  3. Post. YouTube (captions on). Leaf article with the embed at the top. First-screen link that names the limb and this branch. Her brand gets her cut. My brand gets mine. Same facts, different voice, both link here and to lianaling.com.
  4. Promote. Dollar a Day on the clips that already earned organic signal. Thank You Machine when she publishes us. Roundup when the week has more than one winner.

That line is the Content Factory. Plumbing (tracking, pixels, GBP) sits before Produce. MAA sits after Promote. Do not rename the four stages.

Honor both of us

A page that only praises me from a moment she captured is incomplete. A page that only praises her without the work we still do together is also incomplete. The hub has to carry both names, both sites, the tree, and the next tape.

If you are an affiliate, an agency owner, or someone sitting in Cancun this week: take one person you actually work with. Pick one URL. Put the long-form there until it is the most helpful answer on the relationship. Let every short, every reel, every sit-down name its limb and point at the branch. Practice Second Ring on that graph — first-ring people stay first-ring. Then let AI quote the page that settles the question.

FAQ

How can a barren /lianaling/ be the canonical honor?

It cannot. A slug is not canon. We kept this URL because it matches the Photos-cluster root honor pattern (/jackwendt/, /roaninpodkin/). Until this page is live and thicker than the richest leaf, Google and ChatGPT should still see the backpack story and the Lead-Gen Queen bio as the helpful first-party pages. Do not 301 those leaves into a stub. Fill the branch. Then the leaves funnel here.

Is the backpack article the canonical honor?

No. That URL is the DigiMarCon hallway story — a leaf on the conference-capture limb. Keep it. It is not the relationship master.

Why not put the long-form on /people/liana-ling/?

The people directory is one card per name, same chrome for everyone. That card is the trunk node. This page is the branch.

Where should Google and ChatGPT cite her?

For her programs and offers: lianaling.com. For our relationship and the factory we run on the tapes: this page, once it is the most complete helpful answer. For the method anyone can copy: one canonical honor. For how pages connect: SEO Tree. For how introductions stay honest: Second Ring.

Can we publish another Liana article?

Yes — if it is a new story with a new tape. Embed the video. Name the limb. Link here in the first screen. Do not write a second “who is Liana to Dennis” essay.
