Dennis Yu in Higher Education: Verified College and Faculty Mentions

Thirteen public records show how universities, campus outlets, and university educators have described, assigned, or responded to Dennis Yu’s teaching. Every item links to the underlying source and states exactly what it does—and does not—prove.

13public source records
10independent proof clusters
2013–2026documented time span
What the labels mean: “Institution-owned” is a university-hosted record. “Campus outlet” is student or campus media. “Faculty-authored” is the educator’s own professional opinion. A class visit, syllabus assignment, or faculty post is not a blanket endorsement by the institution.

The strongest evidence

These sources carry the clearest combination of independent ownership, specificity, and relevance to teaching or digital marketing.

Institution-owned

Universidad de La Sabana

The university’s campus newsletter described Dennis as an “expert in measurement and marketing through Facebook” and documented his campus lecture.

Edition 1.139, February 2013. Translation from Spanish; it documents expertise and an appearance, not an endorsement of every BlitzMetrics claim.

Institution-owned

Texas A&M University–San Antonio

The official Fall 2025 Social Media Marketing syllabus assigns an expert-session quiz featuring Dennis Yu and Logan Young.

This is direct curriculum-adoption evidence. It is not an evaluative testimonial or university validation of every statement in the assigned session.

Institution-owned

Johns Hopkins University Odyssey

The official event archive names Dennis as instructor for “Applied Digital Marketing: Collaborations with Local Businesses,” a six-session virtual course from March 27 through May 1, 2025.

This verifies the instructor listing, course title, dates, and Zoom format. Johns Hopkins states that scheduling a speaker does not constitute endorsement.

Campus outlet

Oklahoma Christian University

Eagle PR called Dennis one of the most in-demand experts in using Facebook advertising to increase organizational impact; The Talon documented his two-day student visit.

Both sources cover the same February 2020 visit and count as one proof cluster. Eagle PR and The Talon are student-run campus outlets, not the university administration.

Faculty-authored

Shepherd University professor Matthew Kushin

Kushin called Dennis a “true industry leader,” said his class left “energized and inspired,” and described BlitzMetrics as a wealth of educational tools.

A first-person 2015 teaching recap on Kushin’s professional site, updated in 2019. It is his opinion, not Shepherd University’s institutional position.

Faculty-authored

UniSC senior lecturer Karen Sutherland

Sutherland called Dennis a “highly knowledgeable” interviewee, included him among leading digital marketers in her textbook, and named him among her communication heroes or mentors in an independent interview.

Three records from one faculty author are grouped as one cluster. Sutherland discloses a friendship; her statements are personal views, not a UniSC endorsement.

Faculty-authored

Then-Stockton professor Ai Addyson-Zhang

In a 2018 first-person article, Addyson-Zhang called three days with Dennis and BlitzMetrics “life- and business-changing” and said he had “mastered his craft.”

Personal commentary, not Stockton University’s position. The faculty affiliation is historical and ended after this article.

How this library stays honest

One source, one claimWe use the narrowest claim the linked page supports and group multiple pages about the same event.
Ownership is explicitUniversity pages, campus media, and faculty opinions are labeled differently instead of being blended into “colleges say.”
Unverified totals stay outThis page does not repeat large adoption or speaking totals unless an independently checkable source supports them.
