Whop for Fulfillment Operators: Invoicing 300 Brands by API
Summary. A fulfillment or operations company bills hundreds of clients on usage, and the invoicing is the bottleneck. ecomflow runs API invoicing on Whop for 300-plus brands, more than 5 million orders and 100-plus markets. The story is below, with what a 3PL, a print shop or any usage-billed operator should copy.
What you pay to get paid: today versus Whop, on your own numbers
Base rates only: Stripe 2.9% + 30¢, Whop 2.7% + 30¢. Whop’s optional layers (managed tax 2%, orchestration 0.8%, billing 0.5%) are not included and can push the stack above Stripe. Instant payouts, disputes and international cards are extra on both.
Why I am writing about Whop for fulfillment and operations
Operations businesses do not have a checkout problem; they have a receivables problem. Fifty-six percent of US small businesses are owed money on outstanding invoices, by an Intuit QuickBooks figure Whop cites, and a 3PL with 300 clients feels that every month.
The mechanism in the ecomflow story is invoices generated by API from the order data, sent with due dates and automatic follow-ups, paid by card or ACH into one balance. No human types an invoice.
The story on Whop, retold from my point of view
Each retelling links to Whop’s original write-up, keeps only the numbers Whop published, and ends with what I would tell a fulfillment operator to copy.

What Whop does for a fulfillment operator
For an operator Whop is API-generated invoices with due dates and reminders, card and ACH acceptance across 100-plus markets, subscriptions for retainer clients, checkout links for one-off projects, and payouts if you pay contractors or drivers. It is not a warehouse management system; it is the billing layer your WMS calls.
What it costs
Whop’s base rate is 2.7% + 30¢ per card transaction with no monthly fee, 20 basis points under Stripe’s 2.9% + 30¢. Optional layers cost extra: managed sales tax 2%, payment orchestration 0.8%, billing automation 0.5%, affiliate payout processing 1.25%. International cards add 1.5% and currency conversion 1%. Disputes are $15. Instant payouts are 4% + $1; next-day ACH is $2.50.
Financing is not on by default. Whop requires a verified Whop Payments account, a complete store page, a dispute rate under 2% over 90 days, and $30,000 processed from ten or more customers in the last 90 days, or 90 days of statements from your previous processor. It is not available to gambling, sports betting, trading signals, credit offers or adult categories.
What I set up for fulfillment and operations businesses that sign up through me
If you were going to sign up for Whop anyway, sign up through my link, dennisyu.com/go/whop, or send me your business name and email and I will submit the referral. Whop pays me a share of its profit on your account; your rate is the same 2.7% + 30¢ either way. In return my team at Local Service Spotlight sets up the AI agents that audit your public reputation, fix what they find, and keep it maintained: a personal brand analysis, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console with conversion events that actually fire, a Content Factory that turns one recording into a definitive article, clips and posts, and a weekly Metrics, Analysis, Action report. For an operator that means the reputation and case-study pages a brand checks before it signs, and a canonical page per service with named clients and real order counts. That is the work we normally charge fulfillment and operations businesses for, and I am a Whop partner, so Whop pays me from its side of the account, not yours. Who this is not for
If you bill twelve clients by hand and your accountant is happy, the API is overkill. If you need a full accounts-receivable system with aging reports and collections workflow, Whop is not that; it is the invoice and the payment.
Questions fulfillment and operations owners ask
Can invoices be created automatically from my system? Yes. ecomflow generates invoices through the Whop API from order data; the client receives an invoice with a due date and pays by card or ACH.
Does Whop support clients in other countries? ecomflow bills across 100-plus markets on Whop. International cards add 1.5% and currency conversion 1%.
Can I pay my own contractors through Whop? Yes. Whop payouts handle identity verification and payment to bank, and in some markets to Venmo, Cash App or crypto.
