How Viral Coach runs 3,000+ clients on Whop from Alaska

Summary. Viral Coach is a marketing agency founded in 2022 by Daniel Iles, an accountant turned TikTok finance creator, and run from Palmer, Alaska. The agency reports 3,000+ clients across 250+ industries, and it runs its contracts, payments and client management on Whop. If you run an agency, the part to study is not the view count. It is that the contract, the checkout and the client record live in one place.

What Viral Coach was doing before Whop

Daniel was an accountant who became a finance creator on TikTok. From that seat he noticed a gap. Traditional businesses had no social presence even though their customers were online all day. In his words: “The plumber, the electrician, they still aren’t on social media, they have no presence.”

That gap became the agency. Whop’s write-up does not say what tools Viral Coach used for contracts or billing before Whop, so I will not guess.

What changed on Whop

Three functions moved onto Whop: contracts, payments and client management. A client signs, pays and is tracked through the same system. The write-up frames this as how an agency in a remote Alaskan town serves clients everywhere.

The mechanism matters more than the location. The distance between a yes and a paid invoice is where agencies lose deals. When the contract and the checkout are the same step, that distance shrinks to one link. The client record then starts at the moment of payment, not in a spreadsheet someone updates later.

Daniel stayed put. “Unlike most entrepreneurs that have success and then move to Miami or New York, it’s not really my vibe.” An agency with one operating system does not need a city.

The numbers

Whop’s write-up does not publish revenue figures for Viral Coach. What it does document is the agency’s track record: 10+ billion organic views, 1+ million leads generated, 3,000+ clients across 250+ industries, and named clients including Amazon, Dave Ramsey and Venmo. Those are the agency’s results for its clients, not results attributed to Whop. Financing is not mentioned in the story.

What I would tell an agency owner to copy

Measure your own house first. Most agencies pitch social media to plumbers while their own site has no conversion tracking. Install Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console, and make your own lead form fire as a conversion before you sell measurement to anyone.

Get proof you can name. Viral Coach names Amazon, Dave Ramsey and Venmo. A local agency can name the plumber, the roofer and the dentist, with the numbers and the dates. Unnamed results are not proof.

Build one definitive page per client type. One page that answers what social media does for a plumber, with real jobs, real numbers and a named client, will outrank 50 posts about content strategy.

Put the contract and the checkout in the same step. The client should sign and pay from one link, and the client record should start there. Every day between the verbal yes and the payment is a day the client can change their mind.

Then run a dollar a day behind the case study that already earned comments on its own. Boost proof, not promises.

Who this is not for

Whop is a checkout, financing, affiliate and storefront layer. It is not a project management tool, a reporting suite or an accounting system; your agency will still run those elsewhere. The base rate is 2.7% + 30¢, 20 basis points under Stripe’s 2.9% + 30¢, and the optional layers (managed tax at 2%, orchestration at 0.8%, billing at 0.5%) can push the stack above Stripe. That matters on retainers with thin margins. Financing requires $30,000 processed from 10 or more customers in 90 days and a dispute rate under 2%. Financing is unavailable to gambling, sports betting, trading signals, credit offers and adult categories. An agency serving those clients should not plan on it.

If you were going to use Whop anyway

If you were going to sign up for Whop anyway, sign up through my link, dennisyu.com/go/whop, or send me your business name and email and I will submit the referral. Whop pays me a share of its profit on your account; your rate is the same 2.7% + 30¢ either way. In return my team at Local Service Spotlight sets up the AI agents that audit your public reputation, fix what they find, and keep it maintained: a personal brand analysis, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console with conversion events that actually fire, a Content Factory that turns one recording into a definitive article, clips and posts, and a weekly Metrics, Analysis, Action report. That is the work we normally charge agency businesses for.
