Vookum Verified: over $1 million from a $20 community on Whop

Summary. Vookum Verified is a $20-a-month watch-trading community run by Tyler Mikorski, known as Vookum, a 24-year-old watch flipper working out of New York City’s Diamond District. He turned 2.2 million TikTok followers into 7,207 lifetime members, about 2,000 active in a month, and over $1 million in revenue on Whop. If you run a paid community, note what people pay for here: a trading forum and private auctions, not the chat.

What Vookum Verified was doing before Whop

Tyler was doing street-level watch deals in New York, on 47th Street. His first flip made $200. In his first year of flipping he was making $10,000-plus a month.

The problem was reach and safety. He needed a secure way to reach buyers around the world and complete the transactions. On his education: “I went to college for three weeks.”

What changed on Whop

Vookum Verified is a Whop community with a watch-trading forum widget and private auctions inside it, listed on Whop’s marketplace at $20 a month.

The chat is the wrapper. The forum is where members list and trade watches, and the private auctions are where pieces move between members. That is what the $20 buys.

Asked what the community has made, Tyler’s answer was three words: “Over a million”.

The numbers

2,000 active monthly members, 7,207 lifetime members, at $20 a month. Over $1 million in revenue from the Whop community. Over $1 million in lifetime watch-flipping earnings, separately. 2.2 million TikTok followers. $10,000-plus a month in his first year of flipping, starting from a $200 first flip.

At 2,000 active members and $20 each, the run rate is about $40,000 a month, my arithmetic, not Whop’s. The write-up does not state churn, how long the community has existed, or auction volume.

What I would tell a community owner to copy

The audience came first. 2.2 million followers on TikTok is the top of the funnel, and the community is the monetization. If you do not have the audience, a Whop listing will not build it for you; the content will.

Sell a function, not a feed. Members pay $20 for a place to trade watches with verified people and bid in private auctions. Ask what your members would do inside your community that they cannot do in a free group, and build that.

Measure the join. Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console, with a conversion event on the subscription, and a source tag on every TikTok link, so you know which video paid.

Publish the proof. 7,207 members and $1 million-plus is the proof; put it on one canonical page under your own name, with dated member trades where they allow it. Then Dollar-a-Day behind the TikToks that already got views on their own, aimed at people who watched but did not join.

Who this is not for

Whop is a checkout, financing, affiliate and storefront layer, not an accounting or field-service app. It does not authenticate watches or do your books. The base rate is 2.7% + 30¢, 20 basis points under Stripe’s 2.9% + 30¢; the optional layers, managed tax at 2%, orchestration at 0.8% and billing at 0.5%, can push the stack above Stripe. Financing requires $30,000 processed from 10 or more customers in 90 days and a dispute rate under 2%, and is unavailable to gambling, sports betting, trading signals, credit offers and adult categories; this story does not involve financing.

If you were going to use Whop anyway

If you were going to sign up for Whop anyway, sign up through my link, dennisyu.com/go/whop, or send me your business name and email and I will submit the referral. Whop pays me a share of its profit on your account; your rate is the same 2.7% + 30¢ either way. In return my team at Local Service Spotlight sets up the AI agents that audit your public reputation, fix what they find, and keep it maintained: a personal brand analysis, Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Search Console with conversion events that actually fire, a Content Factory that turns one recording into a definitive article, clips and posts, and a weekly Metrics, Analysis, Action report. That is the work we normally charge community and membership businesses for.
