Would it be fair to say that most speakers at Social Media Marketing World or other high-profile events are, on average, worth at least $100K a year in salary if managing a team at a startup that does over $100 million?

Without naming anyone, do you know of any speaker on PPC or paid social that is making under $100K a year?

The average director of digital, managing a team or not, makes $119K base nationally– not including bonuses and benefits.

A regular Facebook ads specialist is worth $58K nationally (Glass Door), which is only half that. But they are unlikely to be public figures or have experience on large accounts.

If a speaker at a high-profile event (not a local Meet Up), how much more on average do you think that’s worth, if any than someone who isn’t known in the industry?
