This is intentionally horrible video— not quite Blair Witch.

But it’s 100% authentic.

You’re known by the people you keep.

And I often forget to honor the people that have helped me over the last 15 years, many who I saw in person today.

I’m often tired, not paying attention, not feeling so good, and not on my A game— but thank goodness that there are good people to carry me when I’m weak.

It’s their ideas that win, not mine- so let’s give credit where credit is due.

I’m too old to play the 100% hustle all the time game— no sleep, bulletproof— or even pretend.

Get rich slow, my friends.

I was putting off writing an article for a publication on what it’s like being a social media professional.

And I had another appointment starting in 10 minutes.

So instead of sitting down to write a bunch of words, I grabbed my buddy, Mark Wagner, and we recorded this video in only 8 minutes.

We didn’t spend any time trying to get the lighting or sound right, spend hours rehearsing what to say (even though we have a teleprompter), or spend 30 minutes dressing up nice.

In EIGHT MINUTES, total time invested– we got this video asset recorded, so then our team could transcribe it into an article, chop up our responses as video snippets to live on social channels, and be boosted.

If I had to do this all by myself, it would have taken days, or not at all, since I would have kept putting it off.

Is there stuff that you just don’t want to do?

Don’t feel guilty– JUST DON’T DO IT.

Assign it to someone else via documented checklists and processes!
